I’m not going to lie, after a writing retreat in early February, the rest of the month was a little rough! I was stressed out and exhausted. I got all kinds of anxious over the coronavirus, among other things. Unfortunately, a lot of my good habits that I had been working to build in January fell to the wayside in February. But one thing kept me sane this month.
I focused on what HAD to be done and let the rest wait for a better time. I did my work, took care of my kid (he’s alive and reasonably happy so we will call that a win!), and presented at the Catalyst Center, formerly the Women’s Business Center of North Alabama, for a follow-up workshop of my MOMpreneur presentation last August.
I focused on what needed to be done and let the rest go. To let you know how bad it was, at the time of my writing, I have completed just one book this month. The Quick Lit post may be a bit dull and sparse.
I am excited about March. I’m hoping that space and time will open up for me and that the weather will be brighter and warmer. I can already here the birds singing in the morning.
What kept you sane this month? What were you into? Tell me below and if you have a monthly recap post, please link it there too. We do this every month and we will do it again on Wednesday, April 1.
enjoy life…
I haven’t been to a writing retreat, but I have been to a couple of writing conferences. It’s hard not to come back feeling overwhelmed by all the things that should be done. Focusing on what *has* to get done helps–then anything else that gets accomplished feels like a reward. Making any kind of a presentation would do me in for days, so good work on that! I love how spring revives my spirit.

Yes, Barbara. I am beginning to hear the birds in the early morning and I am realizing what a boast it is to my mood. Thank you for being here.
