Books often have quotes in between each chapter, or section, or at the beginning before you get into the book. I love them – even if I don’t understand them at the beginning, the hope is that one will by the end of the book.
“Everyone needs a little push toward the book, toward the emotional and practical benefits of reading. We become more empathetic, better informed, [and] more aware of the…context of our lives.”
-Lisa Lucas, Executive Director, National Book Foundation
I’m writing for 31 days during the month of October. Catch up on the rest of the series.
Yes, I love those little quotes too! I often end up tweeting them out. 😉
The best one recently was from the new book by Deborah Harkness: “Time’s Convert”. It was a quote by Thomas Paine. It has stuck with me for over two weeks. I instagramed it. Thanks for commenting.
